How can you be confident, you're not getting a lock either?!
With these parameters I'd expect a regular (TV) mux. FEC of 8/9 makes it extremely difficult...

Do we know of any indian/SEA website with Insat 83E frequencies listed?

I'm not sure, but I've locked this transponder with 16APSK several times. When I look at the constellation diagram on CrazyScan, it looks like a generic stream.

You location
How many channels you got on C BAND of 83°East

my location is eastern Germany.
I get all transponders horizontally. A few are missing vertically.

GSat 10/30 at 83.0E does not give me much satisfaction in Ku-band reception.
Instead, C-band is free for what we can't get in Ku-band. With a small antenna (1.50m) and lnb Titanium C-138, 5G Red 1, 3.8-4.2GHz band, NF 15°, I have received, locked, and watched many muxes and services.
I dare to guess that you could receive all transponders with a 1.80m antenna in my area.:unsure

3749 V , 3753 V, 3753 V, 3769 V all 2900 DVBS/QPSK 3/4

Very Good Updates
Good Work

All the transponders of 83°East Ku band are with TATA PLAY (India) earlier (TATA SKY). So all the transponders and channels are encrypted. C Band transponders are with different companies where most of the channels are free. Now more channels can come here because the Indian government has asked Indian channels to leave Chinese satellite so most of the networks, left Asiasat 100.5°East and 105.5° East, have come to 83°E or 68.5°East C Band or will come very soon.

this are great news-thank you
