I have not uploaded files or a video clip before so don't know how to prep them.Tried a bit of word pad text yesterday .Not a success.Decided to use that bit of brain that I do not often use. 'The thinking bit'. And have a practice.I will use bits that may be of interest.If it works ,ok.If not.Laughing is not allowed.:)
The video dose not upload wrong .ext
Well the text seems to work.:)

Thanks Topper.I tried a link from Dropbox.
That worked ok, but gave too much detail.ie my name and the settings button worked.
Looks like I signed up to the wrong one.:)
I will have a look at those others.
 
The types of file allowed to be uploaded are as follows:

zip, txt, pdf, png, jpg, jpeg, jpe, gif

i.e. there are no video file types allowed. You could wrap a video file (or any other disallowed file type) inside a zip to get round this but there is also a file size limit and I strongly suspect that most video files would be too large.
 
The files that I was practising with are of my ip camera.Only 66KB.But wrong file type.Nothing urgent.I will maybe register with one of those other sites.

I am of the older persuasion,and don't have much truck with this social media or cloud thingy.May give it a go though.:)
 
Not there yet.I have the file on facebook.Copied the link.If I paste the link into the media box,and try to embed it I get URL cannot be embedded.I can paste the link after the text.Not sure about that though it shows my name.
Daughter will be giving me Tuition later.:)

I don't FB myself so if the fault's there I can't help. In the meantime make sure that you haven't pasted a space after or, especially, before the URL. We all do it now and then...
 
Just post the FB link in an ordinary post here and one of us will see if we can embed it properly.
 
I posted the link but it went to my face book page.All the settings worked.Must be the wrong link.so deleted it.
.Maybe my daughter can sort me.:)

What I've just noticed though the Facebook video doesn't show on the Tapatalk app, it just shows the FB link

I can post the link after the text no problem.But as I said the whole page comes up with the video on it.Including all details and the settings button giving access to the settings.
Though I do wonder if that only happens on my browser from the browsers memory.
Not taking any chances though. I am a bit paranoid about security.:)

It is set to private is that something to do with it.
Edit made it public seems to work now.

Still practicing There are five clips.Ive strung them together.Wiped the other one accidently
Back to the drawing board.:)

Got it like an idiot I was pressing Image instead of Media.
Made a mess of the reply though.:-doh
