Activate Keys into dreambox

I dont use cam3d, and anyway, admins on the forum cant really be seen to be doling keys out. Sorry.
 
And before anybody asks, no, Im not sending keys to anyone!

i have just recently bought a DM500S and need some information on the below. would appreciate if you could help me on this please.

correct me if i am wrong:
1. Is the "IMAGE" of a dreambox the firmware of the unit?
2. Is the "KEY" used to crack & get all the paid TV channels?
3. Do we need to get a EMULATOR for us to get the KEYS activated?
4. Is the above three downloaded onto the dreambox from the PC or is it done directly from the MENU of the dreambox?
5. I have heard of the DVB Logic, where we can integrate the Windows Media Centre with the DreamBox. Have you any idea on this?

1) Its the software that runs the box. ALso know as firmware

2) You dont get ALL paid channels - just a few nowadays - you missed the boat for all freebies by 3 years!

3) You normally use a cam

4) Either - if your box is networked most of the images allow direct dowload.

5) Never heard of it.

Actually i dont know from where to start! I hv the DM500S with Gemini on it. And i hv downloaded the keys (dreambox keys 16-10-2010). Is there any compatible issues we need to know about? Like the Gemini would support certain Emulators or Cams and certain Emulators would support certain Keys... Is there anything like this?

And also, do we need to follow the procedure like first install the Emu and then load the keys and then restart the Emu? or is it okay if we load the keys and install the Emu and reboot the Dreambox?
 
I think the first thing you need to do is spend a couple of weeks reading all the tutorials available in the dreambox support section especially the idiots guide. A dreambox is not for the feinthearted and is not plug and play. You need to spend time reading and learning all about it, especially the idiots guide which provides you with basic information and techniques
