AMIKO A4K Combo

Very easy to set up like the SX-88 & Edision H265 unlike the previous generation of Linux these receivers do not have a steep learning curve & are very user friendly.

No just SD,HD & UHD satellite Broadcasts in 8PSK & QPSK in 4:2:0.MPEG-2 & MPEG-4,DVB-S & DVB-S2.
 
New firmware available online via the Ethernet for the A4K new version 1.0.39.
Updates this version:-
Google Play,
Clean Memory,
My TV (update your current settings),
After a satellite search the receiver stays on the satellite you are searching the previous versions used to go to All (A satellite at the start of the list)

Curious:
1) The A4 Combo seems to have been discontinued and replaced by the A5 Combo, which seems similar but with twice the flash memory - any thoughts about that one?
2) As well as having 4K o/p capability, can either of these receivers downscale UHD to HD (I have yet to buy a 4K TV or display!!)?

PS: neither Sat Shop UK nor WoS appear to be stocking any Amiko stuff at the moment.
 
All UHD machinery (with an HDMI port) will provide the lower definitions.
 
Ah, I stand corrected. My aerial assistant has just mentioned Sky prevent downscaling of the Astra 4K transmissions to a 1080 tv with their Q system.


I haven't seen it myself but that is what he says.
 
Not planning to buy a Q system ANY time soon - so that's not an issue! :D

No I am currently using Octagon SX88-4K as it has a better blind scan & HEVC that you need for the UHD TV channels :) this is not available on the Amiko A4K :eek:

interesting thanks. i sort of binned mine off, on the basis it cant lock the lower SR tp's like china radio on 45w....maybe im being too harsh - currently relegated to the kitchen. wish there was someting that could be done for 28.2 epg for uk
 
@william-1 do you still use the TM5502 even to this day ? do you use it for blind scanning or just for finding feeds using the spectrum analyser...?
