Any one running dump 1090 willing to try an experiment?

Started afresh, new trail. Must be something amiss. Quite low, Making quite a din. We often get light aircraft circling above, not a performance like this one.

My feed is going to be down for a couple of hours as Im replacing the coax to the 1090 antenna. There are sparrows nesting in one of our boxes with young in it next to where Im working so Im taking plenty of breaks so the parents can get in to feed.
 
Back up and running, the badly faded interior coax that had several joins in it has been replaced by a single run of satellite exterior stuff :)

Not at the moment as nothing has been set up permanently, as soon as I decide on what antenna I'm using and get it all installed I'll start feeding in.
Also my girlfriends parents live near an airport and have 360 LOS view so will install something up there too.
 
I would recommend a home made ADS-B Collinear Antenna.

Mine gives me a range of up to 250NM and is located on the chimney stack

Yup the home made co-co's are great - I get 225 miles on my most favourable direction (SW) despite the antenna being somewhat of a lash up on the side of the garage. The mount comprises an old scaffold leg which came out of a skip, and some bolt together tent style extension poles which came out of the rubbish at work (!)
 
My VRS feed will be offline over the weekend - Im away up north for a long weekend and the computer equipment will be off.
 
I am offline to for a while too.A strange ip address has turned up in Broadcast server .

Im occasionally seeing 5 or 6 all in range, but thats unusual. Its normally 2 or less
 
Nice to see a glider soaring overhead on this fine day. Used to see several in a day back when they were tugged up by Gypsy Moths from the airfield across the way.

If you see the glider icon the right way it look like the Starship Enterprise seen from head on :-rofl2
