Good evening Gentlemen : )

Any recommendations would be mush appreciated : )

I have a hot air gun for disordering and an iron with various very small tips.

I recently did a repaired on our daughter Amalies Amazon Fire tablet.

The power socket was broken, the main board had to be removed with several connecters / ribbon cables and stuck on control pads etc.

I did not fancy using the hot air gun on the power socket due to the location of other components near by, so cut it out with small side cutters.

The job would have been simpler with a de-soldering iron with built in solder sucker.

There are various soldering irons with a built in solder sucker available.

The best I feel is the type with a motor to do the sucking and a variety of tips.

I've used one of these hummers when I was working.

You could look around for one, they work great once you get use to it.

Thankyou for that Terryl,

They are listed on eBay, a little used one would be good to keep the cost down, so I have done a saved search : )

God Bless Spiff.
