AZbox premium - hangs ...at 'LOADING....'

Hi friends ..
today I took delivery of a used AZbox ...but as yet I've not managed to get it started.
Its previous owner claims it was working just fine ..
however all I get is the AZbox logo on screen ...and the word Loading ... on the display ..
It just hangs there ...with no further progress.
I have a feeling the box is waiting for a network connection ...which no longer exists..
Is there any button configuration I can press to re-set the box defaults ??
as I have no way to access the menu's ..
I don't want to have to send the box back ...
can anyone help ?

Hmm ..
I'll amend my previous post as the box has just re-booted after hanging for approx 15 minutes ..
Looks like its in an endless boot loop

..Solved my problem by performing a firmware flash by usb stick ..
updated to latest version firmware ..box now boots ...so looks like I was right in that the azbox hangs waiting for a network connection that will never come..

Having solved that one ..I then found that the box crashed whenever I tried to scan any channels with the S2 tuner..
A good bit of reading on the www ...and it appears that this box does not fully or correctly support 2 x tuners..
This was corrected by producing an AZbox Elite and Premium + version ..
..as it transpires that its a hardware issue and the older version of the box will _never_ fully support 2 tuners. ouch!!!
I did the only thing I could think of ...and pulled the DVBT tuner in the second slot ..
The AZbox now responds to the DVBS 2 tuner and scans channels ...
No wonder this box gets such bad press ....and I pity anyone who bought one new with 2 tuners...

Hi viper....having been a former Azbox owner I know how your'e feeling...a box with so much promise fails on the simplest things...I sold mine and went back to a dreambox clone...infinitely better all round, althoughthe Azbox does give excellent picture quality..good luck with it anyway

Yeah ..this box looks to be full of gadgets 'n gimmicks ....
As Gandalf says ...so much potential ...but so badly implemented.
It does however clear 4.2.2 transmissions perfectly ....or at least the one I tried on C band.
So ...after a false start ...it now does what I bought it for..
but I'm still having problems working out a suitable switching arrangement to get signals to it from 3 dishes ...which are already in use ...2 of which are usals motorized.
My brain hurts !!!

Can you not carry out a Springtime rationalisation exercise and re-arrange things so your Azbox gets its own dedicated Motorised Dish?

Hi Gordon ...sadly no
I need all three potential sources of 4.2.2 routed to the AZbox ...which after all ...is the only reason I got it.
As you know ..my setup is already unusual insofaras I have to scan the arc in 2 halves with 2 dishes ..due to obstructions.... (trees)
..and the third source is the dedicated C-band pf dish ..
