New Channel BBC on Astra 2 - BBC One going HD

I can't really understand the system always (and only?) used on 28 degrees East to publish new/moving senders with only the SID showing. Often for quite some time.
Wild Earth for example has shown "51118" a long time now.
On 13 and 19 degrees East, 0,8 West for example the sender shows the name of the channel from start if new or just switching frequency which is much better and easier.
The German channels are not only very generous showing a bunch of good channels free over a large area but also very good when switching frequency or adding new channels. They simple add the words "old" and "new" to the station name when a switch is planned. No silly "SID" for weeks. Way to go Germany!
Does anyone know the reason for the "system" used at 28 East?
 
I thought I was seeing things earlier but I've seen it again so its not just me going mad:D

On BBC One Channel Islands HD (10310) 60 seconds before Channel Islands News goes live the picture switches from HD to SD upscaled to HD.

I haven't noticed this yet on the other BBC One HD's.

Here's the list of regions that won't have their news in HD. I'd expect it to be a few years before the newsrooms cameras get upgraded to HD.

BBC Two, BBC Four, BBC Red Button and CBeebies have left 10773 H now.
 
As in the famous Hitchcock film,the Lady (bbc scotland) vanishes again. 2 wrongly branded channels show bbc news & bbc1 pretending to be BBC ScotlandHD

Kind of "explains" why there's been no recent mention (that I've noticed) of any SD->HD changes on the BBC London Channel (our current Channel 101) on SKY - seems they can't yet figure out their asses from their elbows!:rolleyes:
 
10773 H emptied now and switched to SR 23000 FEC 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK.
No channels found yet though.

10773 H 23000 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK now showing:

BBC Parliament SID 6308
BBC One North East and Cumbria SID 6311
BBC One North West SID 6331
BBC One Yorkshire SID 6371
 
On 10847 V BBC One South East is on with SID 6931.

This would mean all channels on 10803 H are allocated on other transponders if I'm right.

What will 10803 be used for?

Same on 12422 H. Some channels only showing SID.
W on 11082 H comes in as "W" here though.
 
BBC Two now on at 10773 H. SID 6312.

On 12422 these are showing only SID:
6415 = BBC Scotland
6416 = BBC Alba Gael
6427 = BBC One ?
6446 = BBC Alba English
6431, 6432, 6435, 6438, 6440, 6440, 6483, 6488 and 6490 = Radios (which I won't specify).

6312 on 10773 H is BBC Two HD (don't know which region) NOT BBC News. Updated my previous message on this matter.

Possibly the Northern Ireland one that’s been on a non-BBC transponder since it launched.

I can add W to this transponder a normal scan leaves the W on this channel,
If I scan with Renew Channel data it wipes out the W & CH50355 returns.
