Not using HLG and only on select games apparently, may have been on all the tournament, but this is the first time i've had the tennis on BBC1
Works the same as Sky UHD, in fact it's on a Sky TP.

Wonder why this couldn't be done for the Footie then?

Good question, incidentally, scanned this in tonight, low received levels compared to most other transponders there.

The BBC was trailing UHD matches on a first come first served basis but only on iPlayer, presumably because it was cheaper to pipe from Russia, or the rights of the format came at a much higher premium.

Broadcasting the tennis from Southfields, UK would have the same contractual price hike one presumes, when flogging content back over to the continent.

I was looking for information on this.

BBC released a statement a few weeks ago saying that only the Semi-Final and Final will be shown on UHD on Sky Q over satellite. Me being the optimist, I was hoping it would be available FTA somewhere seeing as the BBC were broadcasting this.

Thanks BBC, I pay my tv license but have to pay extra to watch Wimbledon in UHD. Nice, how about you shove the license fee up your arse
