Advice Needed Best 4K receiver

I doubt it very much, the tuner frequency span will be determined by the firmware governing the tuner and demodulator chipset

Broadcom have experimented with capturing frequencies outside the norm with a wideband chipset algorithm, but I believe it is more cable oriented.
If I remember correctly there's a Ferguson Ariva receiver that can tune below the standard range, as well as those signal meters. It's not impossible there are other receivers out there with similar capabilities.

A satellite receiver ?

Some boxes do have a capability (minitourner) but in most cases it is afternarket / GitHub / Linux / kernel fiddling.
 
How about 10493H 1500 on 26E? I don't expect anything with an IBU but will be interesting to know if you can input such a frequency :)

Today changed the inverto ultra black with the following and got 5% more signal
I think signal is more stable on this lnb especially in very weak TPS.

I wonder if the 4G filter is helping some people because all my IBUs give better results than the Inverto PLL on my dishes :confused:
 
I think different lnbs gives different results on different receivers/tuners
I also tried technomate lnb & result was bad

thats interesting, i have technomate gold, and its VERY close between that, and IBU, and the Inverto PLL

i think we're talking small margins here, the slightest skew variance, and that could be miscontrued as a bad LNB v a good LNB

Also the 'in and out' adjustment - moving the LNB closer or further away from the dish face. It's why short-neck LNBs aren't worth trying on a standard Channel Master - they can't get close enough to the dish's focal point.
 
yes - agreed - although when i tested, it wasnt that much difference when pulled away or pushed in, skew made the most difference on 1w - i.e it was a reading difference between 75% and 90% signal depending on the skew.
 
You may have to adjust the declination (or elevation on a fixed dish) when the LNB in/out position is changed to maximise the signal. This is because the CM LNB holder is not in the perfect position.

I would open the lid and check which tuner it has, perhaps take pictures of the whole motherboard /other circuits/closeups of the big black chips and post them here.
