Hi everyone,

I have tried to move the channels on the azbox hd but have had no luck because every time I do it the channels go back to their original position 10 minutes later. Can someone kind enough please take a few minutes to show me exactly what I need to download, how to install and how to use channel list editing software on the Asbox elite HD?

Many thanks in advance.

Edit: Whoops! Just noticed that was your Thread - I recalled the issue but not who'd asked about it. Sorry!

Still, it'll be a "the story so far" piece for anyone else looking in to this Thread :)

On the AZbox you can't move channels within satellites.

If you want to put channels into your desired order you have to use favourite lists.

Apparently there is software which can be downloaded to enable a user change the order but I haven't been able to get it.

I believe you are misinformed - there is no such software that I am aware of.

Perhaps you can post more details of what you think you have seen.

Do a Google for Maz it will work fine with this problem:)

The Maz editor will not permanently fix the order of channels within satellites.

The Maz editor is useful for setting the order of channels within favourite groups.

Yes it does :)

I assume that this is what our friend is asking for. Sorting them in fav. and perhaps in genre.

Sorting them in the satellite is hard to do:)

Yes I want to be able to change the order of channels in the main list, not in the favourite list. Is that possible?

No, You can delete or sort them but that´s just about all :)

OK, there is a function called "MOVE" which is accessed when the menu button is pressed (If the channel list is on screen). This DOES move the channel for a short period of time but then the channel goes back to where it was before. So essentially this is a glitch because the option to move would not exist if this feature was not supposed to be available.

I think that this function is meant to be used when You move channels from genre to movie and so on. Not to be used to permantly delete.

If You move channels into favorites then , if You use that You will only see those channels. Still have them all if You go to the satellite.

I have sorted my channels that way and it works very good.

Really? Why is this so hard? I have a 7 year old EchoStar (AD-3600 IPVA) and it is very clunky and slow by today's standards but it can do this (as well as have favourites).

This decoder is still in Beta !!. Think it will stay that way for a time.

Then, when the real bugs are sorted all thing will be OK. It can be done but it takes some time.
Use MaZ, makes it easier.
