Cheap reliable receiver options

Super all ready to connect up! Left and right and just move the dish up up a little ☺️ 2-3 * Are you sure the LNB isnt a SkyQ one?
I haven't collected the dish yet, the guy told me its a mini dish and the LNB would have 4 outputs. I mentioned it was for freesat only, the price is £38 all in. I will ask him when I collect, what do I need to ask him for? My old dish is about ten years old and the LNB has 4 outputs, I was using 2 of them in the Sky box until I switched to the LG TV tuner.

Just say - is this a standard sky freesat dish ? as a Sky Q wideband lnb will not work.

LNBs are very cheap on ebay so not end of the world ☺️

4 outputs should mean it is a quad LNB, hybrid twins are very thin on the ground.

A Quad LNB is 4 separate outputs, so you can run 4 cables, to 4 tuners, in any rooms.
Even if you don't need 4 outputs, at the moment, it's better to have too many, than too few.

Maybe take a photo of the lnb ? i suppose not many people use SkyQ thesedays so will likley to be standard KU band one.

SkyQ is by far & away the most popular satellite receiver for SkyUK nowadays. HD boxes havent been produced for quite a few years now so their electronics are ageing. Plus of course Sky are continually pushing Q or stream to HD users Partially because they want their equipment to be the go to gateway for accessing streaming services.

Yes that dish is compatible ☺️

I dont know anything about the UK sat stuff thesedays☺️

Got myself an old TV stand on wheels, I might mount the dish to that and have a play before I mount on house. Do you think this will work?

Yes it will work for. 5w /4e/ 9e / 19.2e/ 23e/28 e for the very strong sats.

I think 13 e should be fine aswell just be careful with movement of the portable bracket
