Conical scaler on pf c band dish

Has anyone used the conical feed ring that's intended to get c band on an offset dish on a prime focal dish?
 
theoretically a conical scalar ring on a prime focus antenna reduces the visibility of the lnb by reducing the dish gain. it all depends on the internal angle of the conical scalar with respect to the parabolic dish.
