Critical factor in getting Freesat EPG to work - Latest Channel List

both the BBC & ITV channels are putting out high signal powers so there is definitely summat wrong at your end.

The BBC HD channels changed transmission parameters recently so you may need to edit their frequency details.

However if you had them up until afew days ago my money is still on a marginally misaligned dish.

Hi, again thanks for the response, where can I find details that will allow me to try editting the BBC parameters,

Its normally updated fairly quickly when things change

Hi, still no success, though ITV HD is coming in strong, I'll try and get the dish settings checked, maybe a bigger dish would help?

Bob

Still not able to see Brian gw list from #25!

Delete the old channels first then try again. If the box allows you to change the transmission parameters make sure you change 10847V to DVB-S2 8PSK.

A 43cm dish is PLENTY in Milton Keynes.

Oh heck - I cant see the list in post 25 either - it must have got deleted on the software update. Give me a few minutes & I'll rescue it from the old forum!

hi, thanks for the reinstatement, I'll try loading the list later.
Being a Satellite newby, please can you give me some help on how to do the change, 10847V to DVB-S2 8PSK, on my Passion+ HD

thanks
Bob

Ive never used one, but hopefully one of our members who have one will follow up :)

The latest channel list with the recent changes can be found here (post #10) -

thanks to everyone so far.
situation having loaded brians list is that I can now receive Ch4 and ITV HD channels, but still none of the BBC HD Channels.
I then tried loading the list suggested by Llew, with this I can get a full EPG listing and on screen program details, but no video and sound on any Channels!
The DVB-S2 and 8PSK settings have been confirmed.
I will try to check the Dish alignment at the weekend.

Do a factory reset and choose Freesat.

Thanks Llew,
I'll give it a try later, and then should I try your list?

Load the list first Bob. Remember to set the LNB to On in Antenna Setup, as it defaults to Off after Factory Reset. At least mine does.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all of your help so far.

OK, so I checked and double checked all of the suggested parameters, and this morning checked physical connections and alignment of my dish, I've carried out various channel searches and factory resets, all without any improvement.
I kept checking the 10847 V parameters and signal strength, and it kept reporting 'No Signal'.
I started changing various settings without any real expectation of sucess, and resetting everything back if no improvement occured. Eventually I was messing with the settings in Multi Satellite Scan Menu, and did a search for Astra 28.2, but set for 'Network', rather than the previous default of 'Free', this took an awful long time to complete, but when finished my 10847V23000 signal was restored...........hurrah.

I would be pleased if someone could perhaps explain precisely what these system changes have done.

Being new to this forum and having not used my Passion + for a while I thought i would try to use the list given above with out much success.

can anyone provide a list of instructions from factory reset to getting it running with a new channel list

Is your box transferring the channel list from the USB stick OK? That is, going through the flashing sequence correctly and rebooting?

yes it is and the channel are listed - there is just no signal. when I put in the new sat settings and tps for bbc hd say and scan they work. my firmware is version fs131 I think which fortec sent me a while ago.

Also is ther a way of editing the settingas for a prticular channel ie 108 bbc hd in my previous listing and getting it to work?

Thanks in advance

The BBC HD channels moved from DVB to DVB-S2 recently - so that will need changing for starters.. You may well need to do a factory reset as well
