Hi,
Does anybody know if I can get any Viewing card for D2MAC signals on 1W in the UK and if so where do I get them and how much will it cost?

Thanks, Lee

you must have been in the tardis, you will not be able to purchase these now,the net sites have closed there d2mac sections on updates,as the last tv3 services have not changed codes since 02.

ok, it will be pointless looking into it so i will give it a miss - cheers anyway

I havent seen any dates mentioned, but it will be sooner rather than later. I would be surprised if they are still around this time next year.

I checked the danish state broadcast web page (http://www.dr.dk/omdr/index.asp?aid=361) and it says that no new cards will be sent out to "new" subscribers. The D2MAC service will continue for some time yet, as there still are a few D2MAC subscribers left out there... As it's a state run TV channel (DR 2), they have certain obligations to serve the whole community, but it's hard to say 100% for how long they'll keep the plug in.

D2mac what a lovely word

Brings back some good old memories Those was the days my friends lol

Still have a triac somewhere and a few pic cards

and 3-des !

now we are facing 1024RSA and worse

d2mac decoders have not been made for the last five/six years, the good thing is that people with existing units were not just switched off and not left with expensive obsolete equipment like videocrypt/echostar and have something to watch.

does anyone have any d2mac gear such as cards or decoders.. just as an addition to my collection and TV3 DR2 etc would be a nice bonus!!

Are you really offering to buy a d2wmac receiver/decoder? I have both.
The best is an LT8700 RX with built in d2mac and the next is a Pace D150.
I havnt used either in a while . . .
I also have a bag of cards I used to use in the good old days.

hello yes if they are available i could make you some kind of offer (nothing to great) much appreciated!

does any1 have pics for those equipments?
also a picture of the encrypted transmition , that is not hacked , wanna see how this zig zag picture looks like , wasnt born at that time heh heeh

Just imagine a telly badly tuned to a very strong signal. :)

There are report on the Transponder News website that the final 3 D2Mac transmissions are to be pulled off air mid March next year.

heh heeeh
that sounds horrible
still ,i miss the strong transmision of analouge frequensies in the bad whether :(

Egyptstud, I found this on the web for your viewing pleasure.

A typical encrypted D2Mac Eurocrypt M screen shot. It looks very much like the old Videocrypt encryption, but with green interlace on the sides. If I'm not 100% wrong, I think the old Eurocrypt S encryption was more colourless than Eurocrypt M (or was that under DMac encryptions?)

:-gnome

yes , think it was black , more grayish

many many thanks

My Phillips looked like that, just brought a smile to my face :)

@Analogusat , whats the difference between Videocrypt and Eurocrypt ? i am talking about D2Mac systems of cource , and what did sky use at that time ? what packages was there ? sorry for bringing the sad memories , just tryin to learn fro the past :)

Sky analogue used videocrypt. Dunno much about eurocypt to be honest - I wasnt much interested in D2mac as I never had any kit to play with the scrambled stuff. Even now my interest is only because its part of the anlogue heritage.
