My Satellite Setup
Standard Freesat satellite pointing towards Astra 2E/F/G
My Location
South West London
I spotted this Dish on top of a Substation (its a UK Power Networks building with danger of death signs - so educated guess?)
Its pointing at Astra 28.2° (compared to the blocks of flats nearby in the carpark)
Any ideas what it might be being used for/was used for? I'm guessing some kind of data stream.

That, for sure, is Channel Master 1.2m. But somebody replaced original sideatrms and LNB holder by ones from another antenna. New sidearms fixed to additionally drilled holes. IMG_4956a.jpg

At some point, I should take my digital camera that has optical zoom, instead of my phone (iPhone 12 mini) and see how many dishes I can get pictures of. One person near me has their dish pointing at 30W for "meo" (portuguese pay TV), a few others have bulsatcom/Булсатком dishes. My local corner shop seems to have a very old looking LNB on a dish. There are a set of houses near me that all seem to have 60cm+ technomate dishes for some reason.

A hobby with no end.

Once you start spotting them, more appear.

Don't worry, I've been spotting the things for at least a year at this point. It amazes me how many houses have at least two dishes, one clearly broken but not taken down. I should try and get a picture of the big Technomate visible from the local allotments.

The lnb is not KU looks like VSAT

It now occurs to me that the dish on top of my local corner shop is probably VSAT for the lottery machine and/or card payments.
