Dishes on holiday

Here on Hols in Mallorca, there are loads of Channel Master /Raven dishes here my guess is 1 to pick up 28.2E spot beam and 2 they don't rust by the sea ! Hotel I'm.staying in as a few UK channels like BBC and ITV HD so assumption is they are all working from the dish attached.
There is also a random prime focus, my guess is 19.2e being Spain, but thought the single lnb was odd.

Who knows, could be abandoned as well. Or still used for some old cable system in the area.
Most of the private houses on the Seychelles now have DSTV from 36E (Central African beam) using 1.2m dishes, if I am not mistaken.
Hotels probably have internal IPTV service carrying similar channels incl. various SuperSports, M-Net Movies, but also many international ones like ZDF, RAI, RTR Russia, CNNi ... even ITV1!

That's a lot of reinforcement there. Is it looking at 1W for Danish channels or something else?

Reinforcement definitely needed, storms on Greenland are nonforgiving.
Yep, 1 West, nothing further east can be received. Paamiut is 62N/50W.

just wondering why the need for such a big dish when its pointing at 1°W which is aimed at them anyways ? just curious. weather related or something else ?
Personally I don't consider it "such a big", in any case just think of where the location is and what the designated footprint of 1W satellites (Thors, Intelsat) looks like...

Interesting pictures, thanks for sharing.

Presumably some of these dishes are to receive Danish and other Scandinavian countries' TV for rebroadcast? And I see that an FM transmitter for DR P1 is also listed in Nuuk on 98.0 which needs a feed somehow :D
