Earthquake detection and predictions

Multiple tremors and the collapse of the crater on two points of the compass over the weekend.

The situation there is getting worse.

Some different activity in the past 20 minutes

The La Palma volcano features heavily on 22W SES4 Reuters feed much of the day atm

Watching this is MUCH more interesting than whats being shown on the main tv channels :D

22W - This evening you can clearly see cone formation in progress as the explosions splatter molten rock all around the centre of the picture - this has been going on for hours now. :)

Half an hour later & there is much more lava flowing out the cone - its amazing how fast thing change up near the eruptions

I had the transmission on for a couple of hours last night, there was definitely in increase in activity around 12.30, the top of the crater had changed shape by the time I went to sleep.

Sky is reporting the remainder of the local village has gone.

An interesting journal, the comments underneath provide updates to some of the other recent activity elsewhere (Iceland/Congo)

There is also mention of a collapse of the crater at around 12.40 last night (just after I fell asleep)

According to the survey mapping, the island of La Palma has tilted since the eruption began three weeks ago, one side of the island is some 12cm higher than the other, suggesting much more magma is still on its way up.

Reuters had the initial stages of a building destruction on this morning

The building to the right is what looks like a concrete loading facility & the orange truck/jcb to the lower left was just being consumed when the feed cut to go & cover the latest Nobel prize (economics today which was exceptionally dull!)

Another batch of properties getting swamped by lava on 22w feed

Some fascinating footage tonight, both black and white plumes, as though there are two popes on the ascendant.

Dog rescue

A couple of mag5's overnight.
