Hi

Which EMU should I choose for Irdeto and Viaccess?
There will be one card of each in the two slots.

What is the difference between the Enigma 1 and 2 sw offerings on the dreambox4u site.

Since my previous post I have got the 7020Si up and running with both cards installed. I tried several cams before it really worked. Here are my experiences.

CCcam, Camd3, CamX, OpenCam and Rqcamd - Do not recognise smart cards at all.

Dccamd and Newcamd work with Irdeto, but not Viaccess.

Evocamd works with Viaccess and not Irdeto.

Mgcamd works with both, but needs frequent resets

I ended up with scam, which is the most reliable.

I also have evocamd loaded for soft decryption with downloaded keys.

All the versions I tried are the latest, downloaded direct to the box using the remote control.

Can you try the same when you have the chance with a Gemini image?
It could be the Pli image behaves differently.
 
As requested cams and smart cards on Gemini (7020)

Scam recognises the Irdeto and Viaccess cards and decodes signals correctly

Cccam 2.0.11 recognises Viaccess, but not Irdeto

Camd 3.902, Evocam 2.17, Newcam Spider 6.01b, and Rqcamd 1.08
all fail to see either card.

All cams loaded off the Gemini site with the remote control.

Leaving aside cams I prefer Pli Jade.
The multiple channel EPG is great
and so is the MoviePlayer permiting streaming of films from my PC over the network

I think that it would be beneficial to name the specific cards used, otherwise readers would think that this is what will happen to any other Irdeto or Viaccess cards that they might use.
 
The Viaccess card is the BBC Prime one.

The Irdeto is for ADD Firstnet.
