Even if he did, it would be nice if they did one of those docu dramas (like they did about Kenneth Williams, Morecambe & Wise and Hattie Jaques), surely given such a long life there should be enough material.

Yes, I noticed it, far too late and way too short, he deserved at least a weekend, if not a week.
 
How do you fit six decades' worth of comedy, acting and script-writing into an hour? I'm sure Les Dawson had longer tributes, and he was only around for about a couple of decades.
 
There will be three other programmes later, including an episode of Sykes, The Holiday.
