Eutelsat Hot Bird 13F & 13G

Both satellite gave same coverage but signal of f is better than g.why?
Slight differences in the reflectors on the transmit antennas.

Slightly different locational positioning.

Here in southern Scotland its the other way around - 13G is noticably stronger than 13F on the receiver signal meter. Most tps are ~2dB stronger

Hotbird 13B is moving eastward, currently at approximately 14,5°E.

The on-station telemetry signals, frequency 11701,00 H and the non-modulated on-station beacon are active, frequency 12500,50 H.

The S-band telemetry signal should also be active, for emergency/Leop operations... but unfortunately I'm not equipped to check.

We know it's moving east, but N2YO doesn't know where it will stop (maybe 36E,48E,...)

Eutelsat should keep one there for some time as backup. The new birds are dodgy.
There is ZERO evidence for this at the moment. A few posts on other forums is just speculation, nothing more Unless you can give a RELIABLE source for this information please stop posting these rumours.

A rliable source is a press release from either Eutelsat or an insurance company handling a claim for an underperforming satellite. Not some disgruntled bloke on a hobby forum.

Can we stop posting movements for the other satellites on this therad please lads - this was for the two new birds, although as both are successfully now in service its probably time to close this one..

Comparison between two spectrums, between morning and evening.
You can notice the different levels between the two spectrums, in the morning the 13F is lower and the 13G is higher, in the evening it is the opposite.

The satellite card is always the TT-budget S2-1600.

In this pdf file, I have summarized what changed from May 30th (when all transponders were still on the 13B,13C and 13E), through September 14th (with only the new hotbirds in service).

the 11317V and 11355V both have a strong signal but nothing to watch...

For 11317V,11355V,12207H you need to have some knowledge of how to process TS
There are more options in Linux than in Windows (almost none)

Thank you,so how do I process a TS? like a multistream,or different?
Then the listed channels are already FTA on other TPs,well except Museum and Zen tv...
,why would they scramble them there?

in e2 you have to use a utility/tools dvb-ip-mpe2ts
Code:
root@ustym4kpro:~# dvb-ip-mpe2ts -h

Usage: dvb-ip-mpe2ts [OPTIONS]
----------------------------------------------
dvb-ip-mpe2ts v0.7a 22/11/2018

Extract ts-file:
-i, DVB-IP-MPE TS input file ('-' for STDIN)
-o, extracted TS output file ('-' for STDOUT)
-p, pid to be processed
-a, destination IP-address, e.g. 127.0.0.1
-n, destination port, e.g. 3000

Scan file for pids, destination IP-addresses and port:
-s, number of valid TS packets with pusi to be scanned in DVB-IP-MPE TS input file, e.g 100
-i, DVB-IP-MPE TS input file ('-' for STDIN)

Help:
-h, print this help

Examples:
dvb-ip-mpe2ts -i inputfile.ts -o outputfile.ts -p 200 -a 127.0.0.1 -n 3000
dvb-ip-mpe2ts -i inputfile.ts -o - -p 200 -a 127.0.0.1 -n 3000 > outputfile.ts
cat inputfile.ts | dvb-ip-mpe2ts -i - -o - -p 200 -a 127.0.0.1 -n 3000 > outputfile.ts
dvb-ip-mpe2ts -i inputfile.ts -s 100
