faluty lacuna meters

Hi

I have 3 lacuna sat meters

2 are the 2 button version and 1 is the 4 button version.

All three wont charge or open.

Would it be just a battery fault or something else more seroius?

Or is it fixable?
 
Batteries are the usual culprit on those meters. Seem to remember going through a few battery packs myself when I had a couple of them.
 
Is there any place to get new batteris for them ?

Or can i buy my own other source of power ?

If it's similar to my Horizon,you can take out the battery pack and take it to Kombos electronics in Limassol and he will make you a new pack.

My 6x "c" type battery was 40 euros. Yours looks like 10xAA type batteries.
Limassol down the old hospital road,past police station on the left.

Do u think my pack will be cheaper than yours?

Ofcourse i will find out tomz when i go .. just as some of them here in cyprus change prices like they change shoes
 
Might be worth testing the battery pack with a multimeter first to determine if they are actually dead, ...or maybe assume the above electrical shop will do that before hand.
