GTMedia GTCombo 4:2:2 receiver

I had let the Combo format to use in other devices but it is not storing any recordings.

It was a brand new Sandisk stick less than a month ago , I wii try in the SF8008 later today to see if it has developed a fault whilst repairing the tuner cans.
A bit late but the USB stick is fine in the Octagon (after formatting/configuring).

I have an older stick in the office that I can try later in the week.

Thanks for the post . It's good to see they're still supporting this box.

Yes & No ....
I forwarded info of a LO bug for an Extended Ku lnbf that uses a LO of 11.800 and is present in the LO menu, to the relevant GTMedia forum section on August 21st, 2024 last year , GT team member Owen read my post and spotted the mistake on the very same day .. hats off and thanks to Owen. He then highlighted the problem to the software developers - nothing rectified up to this day.

I have mate, and no - it still has the problem
How do u spot the problem ? Have u replied to Owen to tell him to pull his finger out

Thanks for the information for updating my gt media combo.
I will test it if the channels of 4:2:2 are visible now.

I have responded on the GTMedia forum just now asking Owen to give them a nudge - Owen's not the problem and iv'e found him very knowledgeable and helpful in the past - it's GTMedia themselves who are again lacking.
Here's the example of the problem - grab taken from 42°E Turksat with a Extended Ku frequency in use of 13.492GHz, lnbf in use is an Extended Ku lnbf with a LO of 11.800. Select 11.800 LO from the Combo's menu and scan - it captures and displays the channels ok but gives the wrong frequency readout .

Would any of you good chaps be able to tune these two frequencies on 30 w using this receiver?

11492 V 7522 8/9
11502 V 10200 3/4

I posted this on the GT forum, Owen asked for some short recordings from the transponders so he can evaluate them. At the time of year I don't have enough signal.

do they contain 4:2:2 ? flogging a dead horse unless the bitrate is low enough for the software to handle

Pretty sure they're not, when I have signal I can view them on my multi stream e2 box.

Not specifically GTMedia related but the Combo was playing up on the majority of Astra 2 channels, in particular those with BBC News/parliament and Film 4+1 on them.

Thinking it was the LNB overheating (32 degrees in the shade yesterday) , I thought I would unplug everything for 30m before getting on the roof, in the meantime update the SF8008 combo and clear down the memory stick.

The Octagon combo actually had no issue with the outdoor equipment even after an hour , so I would put things down to an oversensitive front end, an attenuator will be tried over the weekend.

GT COMBO 1.31 now available

@John has it fixed the is

Unfortunately the ideal Off Air Ext Ku transmission at 13.492 from 42East ceased a few days before the GTMedia updates were announced and loaded into the machines - tried a couple of work arounds , one from my learned mentor @s-band and another one where i pointed a 13.492 GHz test signal from a signal generator aimed at the Ext Ku lnbf on the 1.2 Gibby and was visible on the Promax display in the shack - did the scan on the GT Combo and it still gave the same error readings as before - - am i impressed, nah not really.

I have updated to the 1.31 version, have
I have lost the terrestrial tuner side after a rescan.

OK, Iscan only goes ahead if I don't click on 'clear old data'.

Checking on the bouquets.
