many thanks to all who help me :)

i have an dg120 myself but cannot find the manual.but i think its the same as setting up a moteck motor.you set the latitude on the motor to 57 degrees.the declination at that latitude is 7.85 degrees.then the angle of your dish is (30 - declination angle)=30-7.85 =22.15 degrees approx :D .links here for dish setup and angles etc http://sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/HH-mount-installation.htm .there are guides in the stickies for motor setup also.by the way,is yours the newer superjack dg120+,the plus being addition of goto x/usals.makes setting up dish really easy.very good motor and with usals addition its even better.

hi there i don't know if it is the + dg120 i have i just know it has 2 buttons for east and west that you can use while setting it up to save you from use the sat box.I will try the info you gave me and see if that does the trick :).With a bit of luck and messing about it might.
thanks again:D

:-DOH! i still have no joy in finding the correct alignment for my motorised dish on my superjack dg120 H-H.god i don't know what im doing wrong as i have the pole mounts all 100% straight the motor point non mag south and still no joy :( .Anyone got any idea's what i can do now as it looks like im going to call in a professional to do this for me but he wants £260 to do it and i think that is a rip-off lol.Oh well any idea is very welcome.

Hi all

I am getting a motor for my satellite installation would I be safe going for the Super Jack DG 120 or should I rather get the Stab H-H 100, for an 85cm dish?

I would rather have a robust motor than a cheaper one to be replaced in a couple of years due to corrosion/wearing out of parts.

Thanks for your help.

I believe that the superjack has elevation scale on one side and Latitude on the other, if it does, then set the latitude to your latitude, if not, then the elevation scale should probably read 33 degrees.

Once you have set that up, then you need to try and find Thor 1W by moving the whole assembly on the pole and the dish elevation only, at this stage, apart from making sure that the motor is at zero, you should not be moving it via the receiver or manual buttons.

Hi rich-sat
I have the dg120 hand book....I will pm you a scan of the elevation setup..It'll be tuesday unfortunately (back in work then) It does not show an elevation reading for lat 57..nearest is 56 and 58..
Lat 56= 34 elevation...declination=7.782
Lat 58= 32 elevation...declination=7.792
hope this helps

Ciao Rich-Sat
Latitudine 56= 34 elevazione...declinazione=7.782
Latitudine 58= 32 elevazione...declinazione=7.792
Spero che questo aiuti

Per caso potresti mandarlo anche a me ? Grazie

Could you possibly send it to me too? Thank you
