Hotbird 10 test signals 4.2E

All these are from the test signals noted on air today whist undergoing In Orbit Testing at 4.2E. All channels are scrambled in NDS Videoguard, and are part of the Viasat package. Im mentioning the language tracks flagged up on the transmissions, although most of them transmit many programmes in English with subtitles.

Shes putting out a HUGE signal here in southern Scotland - Im getting a 92% signal on a badly aligned 80cm dish more or less pointing at Sirius 5E!!

At the moment two frequencies are active.

very good signal in Iran.I think they have moved sirius4 or second copy of
11727 and 12054

Yes the signals are duplicates of other frequencies.

All channels are secure scrambled in NDS Videoguard.

Hotbird 10 has now moved to 1.7E and is back on air with test carriers. No programming yet though.

Update to this thread:

Hotbird 10 has been temporarily redesignated Atlantic Bird 4A & is now on air with mainly Arabic language programming for the Middle East at 7W.

She will stay there until Nilesat 201 is launched next year, then should move to 13E
