Not specifically for 4K but to use the $ly Q system. The Q box needs a wideband LNB in order to be able to use the multiple on-board tuners independently. And, when $ly do eventually start regular transmissions in 4K, using a Q box will be the only way of receiving them.

so will that mean one day all the current hd and standard def stuff on satellite will be replaced by 4k?
