how often dose this card update

can anyone tell how often the card updates and how long it take to do so. i don't have my dish on 19 east all the time.

Go on then give us a clue..... what card, what subscription?
 
Well I have to be honest I have never seen anything about the updating of Sky Germany cards but if their system is anything remotely like the UK version then it can be up to 3 weeks, there must be a cycle and if you miss it then it takes a while, I am sure someone must know though. You should of course always park it at night on the correct satellite to overcome this problem

I would have thought the signal would be transmitted for a few hours so as long as you park it on there after zapping the arc you should not miss one
 
hello to all,
if the sky germany works like the uk i have seen some people bring the box down from the uk and we set up the dish and it worked after 1 or 3 min.
usualy basic works right off the bat and movies work 1 hour later.
if the box is activated and wou move the dish to watch something else on another satellite and you move back unless you were away from sky germany for a long time weeks or month it should work again.
i have set up scandivian systems at 1 west and it was never activated all new and it took 20 to 30 min.
most of them so far takes 10 to 30 min to reactivate but thats only if it has not picked up a refresher signal for a long time.
