How to stream from Dreambox to Internet

Of course I mean I wish to view the signal outside the LAN :)

Are my ports forwarded correctly?
Do I need to install/set something up on the Dreambox itself?
How do I configure VLC v1.1.0 to transcode correctly?

When I run your script I get

Code: 
0x924d470 main demux warning: no access_demux module matching "file" could be loaded
0x9264e88 dummy interface: using the dummy interface module...

Any ideas?
 
following your guide when testing the setup by entering my dyndns address it doesn't prompt me for password meaning anyone can access it and did as my box got hacked by someone.

I have changed the box password but I get no prompt how can I sort this

To make your Dreambox prompt for User/Password from the Webif then:
Using Dreambox remote control: Menu...Setup...Expert Setup...Http Authentication (Webif)...Press OK (to Tick and set prompting for password)...Exit (3 times) and it's done. This is the route for my DM7000S and Gemini 4.70 image, you may need to look elsewhere for other boxes/images but it should be similar.

However, despite having a password set it will not stop your box being hacked!!
The only safe way is Dropbear SSH with RSA Key authentication.

hello i dont use dreamview as i cannot im on windows 7 64bit

so i stream direct to vlc to the internet but its strange at first it runs fine than it goes all funny pixelated mess and sometimes the sound cuts out

im not sure whats wrong could it be the router my upload speed it good 2.5mbit which should be fine for 500k stream

i use pli-images and dreambox500s

and whats with the blinking does my eyes in lol
 
Ok i tried everything and finally got it to work perfectly in windows 7.

First problem, vlc wont work as the client for me, i used windows media player
Second problem, the script vlc creates from your chosen setting doesn't work, i found a line that does work and i just edit that.

Here is a quick video guide and the line i used. Once this works you can play with other codecs, divx3 looks nice, install the codecs.

My Dreamview crashes everytime I push Start streaming...

Where can I download another version ?
 
Ok, I've deleted dreamview, butits still not working.

Is there anything speciel I need to do, with this newest version of VLC?
Im using Gemini image.

Hi you need both Vlc 086d and dreamview instaled on Pc but I find for me maybe best program MFaraj dreambox viewer try this program maybe gonna work with your setup.
 
Okey i realize this thread quite old, but i installed Dreamview 0.1.5 and VLC 11.1.1 the problem i have is i dont even get any channels in dreamview. I open up dream type in my dreambox IP (192.168.1.69) username and password. press okey press update channels /get everything.

get liek a folderthingy in left corner where it says dreambox but no channels at all. tried pressing it but nothing changes. IN black video screen it says no stream output. and an INFO symbol that can be pressed. anyone got any help for this? im trying this in my own lan so nothing should stop this. I can stream from VPid number IN dreambox WEBif so no problem with connecting. WHy i get this everyone seems to atleast get the channels from jsut typing IP and loginb info + update channels.
