Polskie Radio. These are the feeds for the FM transmitters in Poland.

In Wireshark it's possible to see the dynamic RDS data for Jedynka, Dwojka, Trojka and PR24 in the RTP packet headers.

JedynkaAM must be the feed for the 225kHz LW transmitter.
 
How want to listen on E2 receiver put this data in settings :cool:

what is broadcast on TXT pid?
isn't it more appropriate to place the radio in R than in TV?
the PCR pid has a different value than you indicate

Successful with tune-s2 and dvbstream apps with tbs6902se card on Ubuntu 20.04 on Linux.

 
Not technically IP in this case, but another encapsulated stream. On 10722V PID 178 (linked to the BBC English (Europe) service), hidden inside a PSI table (table ID 147, section ID 5000). If you decapsulate the data using tsduck/tstables it seems to be stereo 128k AAC audio, carrying BBC Arabic. That service doesn't seem to exist any more so it may be a temporary feed for transmissions to the Middle East. I heard an ID on the hour mentioning "BBC Arabic".

I noticed from having a look at the contained data, because the bytes FF F9 repeat. This is one of the frame headers for AAC audio.
 
I tried to find the stream on PID 178 you are talking about. I was able to capture a short fragment of the stream and view it with TSReader.
I haven't tested under Linux yet.

I hope that the illustrations below are self-explanatory and, therefore, help you record PID 178.
Assuming you have a dvb card, you search for the signal with Crazyscan->TSReader-> PMT Pid List-> Pid 178->open Record and choose -Outfolder->OK.
Open the file with the PotPlayer player. It seems that you will hear only scrappers. That's all.

I also tried it on Linux, but I got the same result.

I use ebspro but I should be able, via TSReader, to register the single PID, I have to try.
Tomorrow I will try to attempt to do so.
May I ask you, if possible, how you got the intuition to try to ‘listen’ to that PID? Maybe there are hidden treasures in other transponders too?

I did not find this pid. It is to the credit of @Adam792(#6), who seems to have a specialized "eye" to find such radio-carrying pid, and that most of us do not know and do not even realize.
Besides, he is the one who found many "hidden treasures" on many transponders and in all kinds of tables with numbers and letters, such as those in hex.
Yes, you are right; there are many carriers of such "treasures," and the most important so far and most capitalized are DAB+ from several positions. Not to mention IPTV/Radio-over-sat on Hispasat or Intelsat 901.
To discover them, some enthusiasts have specialized in such searches and know how to see the "nugget" behind the numbers and letters.
Of course, to exploit them, you need curiosity, experience, perseverance, and exploration tools/apps like the ones I use, and for some of these pids, you need specialized tools.
With the EBSpro, you do the same as with the Crazyscan, but it's not enough; you need something extra, a tool or software capable of separating the sound from the accompanying noise.
But that's another discussion...

I haven't managed to listen to the service live, but it's possible to demux the content to a file using the TSDuck suite of tools.



The 'tables' plugin allows you to extract the content of tables on given PIDs, so if you extract the tables from PID 178 in raw binary format you get raw AAC audio in a playable format that can be saved to a file and loaded in VLC etc. You have to allow for repetitions of the data - otherwise you only get one chunk of around 1s of audio - the tool assumes the next 'table' transmission is a copy of the first by default - in this case each contains consecutive AAC audio data.

It seems to actually contain a series of different messages, presumably to be downloaded and played out at various transmitter sites they have. I've just heard one in English apologising for recent FM transmitter outages in Pristina. It sounds slightly too fast and distorted, so I think that there's probably some extra decoding info present that this method of decapsulating them doesn't take into account.

A new mystery to figure out, it seems like Yle send some backup audio feeds for their FM transmitters in Finland over satellite -


From the information in the article, it seems like the transmission is standard MPEG-TS (so not GSE), and IP encapsulated, so extremely likely to be MPE (as with the Polish stations on 7°E). The article also mentions a bitrate for the IP over satellite service of "less than 2Mbps".

What is still a mystery is which satellite is being used, I'm making an assumption based on the fact that they're using a "EUTELSAT/SKYLOGIC satellite teleport in Italy" that it could be a Eutelsat position like 7°E. :confused
 
I haven't heard anything about it, maybe it is in YLEs future plans. And not very long time ago there were serious transmission outage due to equipment failure in fiber-relay network and they repaired it, no backup solutions to restore transmissions quickly.
