Is viasat reachable in west ireland

dish never came this weekend so fingers and toes crossed i will have it this week coming

got my dish today and boys is this going to be a tough challenge, the weight alone in the az-el mount is unreal, and to make things worst ive a 3inch pole concreted in the ground and it aint coming out, and suggestions????

You are going o need a hand on this 1. I will offer my services for the day if you want your in Mayo if I remember correctly. Also if the dish is one piece as I think it is your better leaving the pole in the ground and mounting the az/el bracket then the dish.

Hey Chris, the mount is 4.5 inch and I've a 3inch pole, I'm in the midlands, Offaly, good spin from mayo, so I think your a bit too far too help, but cheers tho, yeh it's one peice, I think your also right with mounting the azel first, I'm going to tackle it Saturday!

glad to hear you got dish mate, maybe you could get a 4.5inch pipe of 2 foot in length and weld it to the 3inch cheapest i would say if you had a mate that welds, can you lift that dish on your own or is it very heavy.

im getting 2 foot of a 4inch pole and im welding 6 nuts to it and creating the same effect as the azel cap tightening bolts the 4inch sleeve effect and that should do the trick, also the dish is not all that heavy but too awkward to lift as its 190x180 and its fibreglass, fingers crossed all goes to plan i will have it done saturday

sounds a class dish, you will defiantly get viasat pl 11747 with that dish, i see the price is gone up for that dish in the shop were u got it, if you have a camera could you take some photos as i am thinking about buying that dish. good luck hopefully saturday will be a nice day for setting it up.

yeh its gone up a nice few pound, got it at the right time, if i dont get them channels im will crack, im fairly confident tho!!

the best of luck with it if u make sure everything is level especially the pole u should get 11747 v easily its the strongest here in dublin at 55 % or 6 .1 db on a fine day .

u should try and get a lend of a decent meter with a spectrum analizer it will make it much easier for fine tuning the skew on the lnb is crucial.

Im afraid it's me, tv and techno mate box and my dishpointer pro app on iPhone for this setup, the pole is plumb perfect, just have to mount the extra 4inch pole to the 3inch pole, ah I should get 11db, what do you think

What lnb are you going to use ?

That size dish with need the feedhorn and c120 lnb such as invacom.

It depends on how much the nordic beam drops in strength as u go further south and west and the db gain in the 11ghz band of the cm 1.8 in my experience the black ultra performs the best with the vertical transponders

I have a black ultra on my triax110 but they sent me a Mti supreme lnb, for now it may do

here are the channel master not assembled and the 4inch pole on the 3inchIMG_0058[2].webp

On the subject of polar mounts for 1.8m there is a German company apexsat that make them but your probably looking at a few hundred for one plus shipping to Ireland.

The sat superstore one doesn't look that strong as its a modified 1.2m mount rather than one built for the dish.

good looking dish, i suppose you will be busy this weekend, getting excited to see what results you get as i am upcest with getting viasat too, i dont know why as i usually get most 3pms already.

We always want the best of everything, my gf always says sure why do you need it when u can only watch one channel at a time, I'm going at it in the morning

That mount looks the business. I bet it costs a bomb.

€20 is all the 4inch pole cost, from the local Steel engineering company
