Is viasat reachable in west ireland

Yeh that's it's lads, I'll do a search cuz I never did and lost patience and disconnected everything cuz I thought that tp was on the euro beam

I am only getting 50% SNR on the Uno (34% needed to be watchable) on my Penta 85 dish in Somerset, while the European beam is in the 90% bracket.

I'll be 100% 2moro and if it is I'll post. Screen shot and it will mean truly the channel master is the king of all dishes

Hey everyone, bad news, that tp was on 23.5e and one of the channels was tv noord, I was on my own today and got some on the European beam but nothing for the Nordic, think I need professional help at this stage cuz I'm doing something wrong and to be honest it could be a lot of things at this stage and I don't know

What was the signal strength on European beam? It's harder to align larger dishes due to much narrower beamwidths but the principle remains the same, so don't give up.

I don't really know cuz I was trying to elevate it And Move it side to side, but I think I'll leave it Chris76

Don't give up bud.....you will get there

I think you've a tough job to do, when do you think you'll be down

Hard luck it must be very difficult trying to tweak on your own pity u havnt got a pro meter at least it would tell u what sat u are on within a few seconds are u getting 12245 v 27500 with ebs tv1 lituania lnk etc and 12073 h 27500 with news one

Yeh thought alright cuz you can't have someone tighten the bolts when you get a decent reception

007.webpt thats 96% max on euro beam and nothing on the nordic beam, heads wrecked

are u certain u are on 5 east what channels can u get when u do a scan on that tp

2+2 was one channel

i know thats why i stated i got 96% on euro and nothing on nordic, i have a satman coming saturday morning with his meter do it, hopefully itll be easier i hope, also ive been told its really hard to allign a weak signal on a big dish with no meter

Doesnt surprise me you are having problems - the Nordic beam is fairly poor here most of the time (30 miles south of Edinburgh - 85cm Penta)

What is your current readings on 11747

I guess I'm lucky as I get 85% signal on Euro beams and 75% on Nordic beams here just west of London on a 90cm dish on my Technomate. Pretty good rain fade margin too.

U are lucky and I have a Channel master 1.8m

Dreambox 7020 on Viasat Xtra 1

SNR 74%
AGC 87%
BER around 8500 - so that would be barely watchable. If it was raining the signal would have disappeared totally.
