Are you a Comag owner, or a Fortec ?

How did you reload the origonal . My display is now just dashes and I cannot do anything with the set, not even turn off using the standby button on the front pannel.

I have had a Comag SD100 for about a year and have been delighted with it. I can get ITV1 HD and it works at 720p 50HZ (the limit of my Samsung 42" plasma TV.

I use the PVR function with a standard PC USB hard disk and, once I got the hang of how to program recordings, I have found it excellent

However, I have one question which I hope someone can help me with. The Comag formatted the USB disk as NTFS and calls its files name.jpg.
But, if I plug that USB drive into my PC, it does not recognise it. A pity, for it would be nice to record the .jpg movies to a DVD disk and make more space available on the USB disk. It is only 80GB and will presumably fill up quite quickly.

Unless anyone knows a better way, I think I will be forced to play the movies back and transfer them to a DVD recorder via a SCART connector.

Any suggestions gratefully received. Everyone on this forum seems to understand these technical matters much better than I

I believe the usb drives are formatted in fat 32 for the comag (max file size 4gb) and the files recorded are .dvr ,now these files will play back on your PC with Gom player but I have never attempted to record them to DVD..
Download Gom player to your PC and they will play no problem.
Cheers

Hello guys
I did a carry in at the Real shop in Bocholt.
The technical service department replaced the power supply from yhe device.
Now all is ok . no reboots and stable operation.

So if you have the reboot trouble, replace the power supply

Dear Pajo 100

Thank you for that response I did download the GOM player and it resolutely refuses to play the .DVR files. The only solution I have found is the AVS video converter. I tried the free version and it worked, albeit with a watermark in the video which will not appear once I purchase the full version. No other free video converter that I can find will play the files

The only free solution that I can see would be to disconnect the HDMI cord and run a scart connector from the SL100HD to a DVD recorder to record the output.

By the way, Channel 4 HD has now appeared on Eurobird

Make sure you are using the latest version it works fine on Vista and Xp with .dvr .ts and .trp files . You must be missing codecs if it will not work.
