As I said, all non staff posts need approval even if you're logged in.

Going out now so I'm not sure who's available to take over.

You wouldn't normally see that message as you don't normally post in this section. You have to be logged in for the other sections so wouldn't see such a message by definition.
 
Same here. OK on the I pad but PC keeps asking for password!
 
Autofill of user & pw in browser (firefox) stopped showing up.

Had to delete the saved info and reenter it, seems ok therafter.

Edit: wrong, asks for for username and pw again, even if they are properly saved in browser.

Snap, on all counts. One of my other forums does the same when I log in from a different device.
 
Am on a bunch of other forums, problem is only here, and started recently.
Same result trying different browsers, duly saved login data not showing up, must be entered manually each time.
 
I have moderated about 7 posts awaiting approval today by members ? what is going on,
I am using Firefox latest update with no problems here atm.

Hi, Have there been any changes to the forum that impact on members login? Normally, I can stay logged in for weeks or months without having to refresh the login. Lately however it seems to no longer save the login between visits and constantly requires a fresh login, sometimes several...

It's because this section is open to all for posting without logging in. If you have problems logging in then you have to be able to post somewhere about it! In order to keep a lid on any spamming every post that's not by a member of staff needs approving.

If it's the post by ManFromWales it'll be because he's a new member with a low post count.
 
About my login case, turned out was due to my (very old) stored link was http instead of https, some kind of recent forum update\change now very probably forcing the use of https for saved logins.
 
^^^ May I suggest that a http redirect is implemeted to force the use of https (.htaccess).
 
Not been around all yesterday but have been logged in all that time with Win 10 Chrome and sleep mode, did not have to log back in and using https everywhere without a problem so I can only assume @chris has tweaked something to correct the issue.
