Just Sharing This Modified my CM LNB holder for KU and CBAND

40.5w coming in ok - need to adjust LNB for ESPN etc....getting fairly strong signal on PASIONES HD (not p0rn) had to raise dish 94 counts....

will test 40.5 later.....
:)

Nice work with the elevation jack.
Apart from C-Band you can also use it to track inclined orbit satellites on Ku-Band, not that there is much about nowadays on inclined satellites as far as I am aware?

Get the dish on 38.0E or 43.1W for a good C-Band test, they are mens satellites for C-Band from a UK location.
That 40.5W is for toddlers and infants, you can pick it up on a rusk bowl.

elevation jack now fitted, and working, its been tedious!!
couldnt get the jack to raise the dish - have had to use counter weights.
Yes, you are using the actator in traction mode, without counterweights you would need to fabricate brackets to make elevation positive or the bearing will eventually pull away from the locating point inside the worm drive.

Update....work in progress as I type

Obviously will shorten then fit another 2 nuts. And then use rimants metal holder. Nuts will give me slight left and right and metal holder will do angle.

I know what I'm doing ...

Very nice to see when someone improves their system to always get a little more sign :Y
50 TP's is very good for a CM1.8, since only 4 transponders are missing then you have all of them, currently 54TP's

Yes, but you drop the dish down by 5 to 6 degrees again then Ku comes back in focus. Best to use another jack for the elevation ideally..
Would a 6-inch motor be enough?
It has an arm length of 32 cm when closed and 40 cm when open.

Depends how much space you between the two LNBs. Perhaps a 12 inch may be better?

I've been using C band on top/Ku on bottom plus declination jack for years on my 1.8m (and previous dishes). Works great! Used to use 2x Vboxes but now using jpc's positioner. Using a 12inch venture jack for declination.
