At 51.5E the Belintersat European beam has come back on air (11350H 45000) with a massive signal, so thats another slot added into the log here :)
 
A friend turned up today with 2 60cm Sky dishes in the back of the car :D. One is to be handed over to the chap 2 doors down as he was given an old Sky box but has no dish. He wants a few extra free channels so I promised him Id set something up as soon as a suitable bit of kit turned up - whilst I had a couple of dishes lying around I cant find the mounts for the damn things - they got mislaid in the move.

So now I can make good on my promise :)
 
I put the Fraccaro Penta back up today - aimed at Hotbird as Ive been having issues with the original 13E lnb in recent weeks. Having sorted that one out now I need to get 9E & 5E back. as those lnbs have moved or failed. Might have a try for some of the slots Im missing as well. if the weather holds up
 
Good luck with the changes - Xmas Day weather looks "relatively promising" for us "down South", and hope it will be the same you lot "up North" :)
 
Its amazing what you can cobble up using 3 scaffold clamps that came out of a pile of scrap metal and some lengths of old scaffold pole which came out of a skip! :D

5E & 9E sorted & as a bonus 3 or 4 of the stronger tps from 10E have appeared as well. :)
 
On a very cold afternoon, & using hand held lnbs Ive managed to get very brief tp locks on 2 new birds this afternoon

26E - 11996V 27500
27.5W - 11495V 44100

No channels scanned so I wont add them onto the list in my sig just yet.

I think both sats - especially 26E - are difficult to get if you're not using at least an 80cm dish centred thereon.
 
26E was offset on the 1.1m aimed at 16E. The nearest equivalent frequency on 28E seems to be off atm.

I will check further and see if I can get some channels scanned when its a bit warmer outside.

27.5W was offset from the Hispasat dish. I might realign this one onto 22W though at some point.

A bit of a surprise checking the 5E channels this evening & updating the tp list - Ive got one solitary Nordic beam frequency appearing! Not bad on an offset lnb on an 85cm dish aimed at 13E :D

11996H 27500 3/4. Its only DVB - the Astra 4A DVB-S2 frequencies are below lock & its as it is 11996H is extremely marginal.

A lovely day up here this afternoon, absolutely no wind & pleasantly warm to be outside. So Ive been working on the 22W / 30W dish which had come loose over the wonter & moved a bit..

2 new satellite slots logged after a bit of tinkering 14W & 15W :)
 
Its a very pleasant afternoon up here so Ive been tinkering for the first time this year. And a new slot added for the log - ABS 3W Just the one tp - the Rete Capri one.
 
I'm not too far from you. What size dish are you using for the 22W/30W? I'm not getting much more than a peep with 98cm.

An 80cm aimed at 22W. Old & very second hand - its been bent over the years . Reuters is absolutely fine in most weathers - thats the only one Im interested in on 22W.
 
Strange. I was interested in the hockey feeds but I get nothing on that TP at all.
How do you do with Hispasat? I get a couple of the TPs (Al Jazeera and some Parliament feeds) but none of the encrypted Portuguese TPs will lock.

30W - everything locks even on the offset lnb, although the tarot channel tp (10917V) can be difficult a lot of the time. To be honest I dont bother much with 30W nowadays as there isnt much left of interest on it

I can also get 34.5W, although with no fta channels that one is REALLY uninteresting!
 
I also discovered this afternoon a couple of the lnbs are on the way out - the front covers have dried out in the sun and have started to split - so those will need replacing fairly soon - itv rains a LOT up here!
