My dishes collection

I did this on a Laminas 1.8m. An adapter plate and a gibertini 150 antenna grip, because I run the Laminas As180 on a converted construction with a diqec motor. I'm not at home to give you the exact measurements, but it's best that Mr. Rima do what you call Rimatization.

Did you make some tests with modified lnb holder on Laminas 150 or 180 ?
Before changing the CM1.2M by the Laminas 150, I'll make some tests with Fibo setup and if I can't get a better gain I will install inox feed arm with modified LNB-holder.
 
I didn't change the lnb bracket, but it will be necessary, because the factory does not touch the g point of the antenna. I think that with a new transmission arm, I can improve the signal by at least 1 db or even more than the factory setting. I will rebuild the carrier shortly for the elevation of the antenna on the adapter plate, otherwise it would also work that way, but the break arm gives me a small instability or minimal oscillation, which I have to When everything is done as I imagined, I will post pictures and a video of how the system works with 2x diqec motors and a rod for antenna elevation in my topic about Laminas.
 
I bought a mount for 1.2m dish from Laminas because I have a 1.2m dish from another manufacturer. The mount is very durable and of good quality. The 4 holes for mounting the mount were completely different. This is how I solved it.

I have a 1.2m dish from another manufacturer.
This is a very nice dish. If you look at the label (yellow arrow) you will see that it is manufactured in West Germany, so it is more than 35 years old. I have the same one, brand new, including original polar-mount. The name of the manufacturer was Northern Satellite Corporation (does not exist anymore). 120cm antenna has 26.5* offset angle.

Just found metal plate, 3.5mm thick to adapt my Laminas as-1500 on Channel master polar mount ... solid but heavier than I think, 2kg !

Now I need some advices for upgrading lower feedarm, it's not similar to Channel master :

Aluminum can be used to make the arm, with suitable widths and lengths. It is also very nice to make the arm from the profiles used for installing solar panels.

It really is nice. Even though it is 1.20m, it looks like it is made of solid material, it looks massive—probably aluminum alloy with zinc(?).
I wonder how many kilograms such an antenna weighs because it is supported on an H-H mount.

Metal is electro galvanized steel , 2kg
Laminas 150 reflector is lighter than Cm 1.2m
( 13 kg 151x161cm vs 15.2 kg 122x132 according pdf brochures )
 
The weight of CM120 (reflector only) is ~9,2kg according to scale I have :cool:
With such a weight mounted on the H-H, it is safer not to mount it high if it is in a windy area.
It is good that it is left at ground level.

What kind of motor do you mean to rotate the antenna?
 
the original polar mount for Laminas 1.8m has a weight of 18.90 kg. When I was working on the conversion in order to reduce the weight and adapt the Laminas to have it on my built prototype for the diqec motor which now drives the antenna. I made an adapter plate and used the Gibertini part to attach the antenna. The adapter plate was also 4.5 kg because I used a thick and strong material - a 6 mm steel plate. The gibertini adapter weighs 3.90 kg. The Laminas crosspiece itself weighs 16-18 kg, I'm not exactly sure, I've already forgotten. Actually, now my prototype with a diqec motor has to rotate a weight of approx. 25 kg, which it does without any problems, because it is made that way. The antenna on the extended arm of the prototype is balanced and stops and remains in every position in which I stop it. I spent some time balancing it to be able to balance it to a milligram. So the motor is not loaded, so it can rotate the antenna without problems. My friend uses fte 180 size - the weight of the antenna and the back of the antenna is approx. 45 kg and he has been doing this for more than 3 years without problems and with the same Amiko motor. The most important thing is that such a system is shelter and is not exposed to stronger gusts of wind.
