My questions: in the past, some people recommended re-initialising the receiver from time to time.
This means erasing sat lists and re-doing them.
Is this worth doing?
Or getting rid of some less interesting channels on my lists?
Or just contemplate buying a new receiver.?
I changed my lnb(which was quite old) because some channels showed shiny lines.
Now,the shiny lines tend to reappear after a few hours;and they disappear when I switch off the receiver & then on.
My pointing is perfect .

Wavy lines would likely be a failing ower supply but a factory reset would be cheaper than changing.

Which Comag model ?

Hello and thank you again for the answer!
My comag is a Comag Twin HD CI+ (double tuner and CI+slot)
Afactory reset is what I meant. I didn t remember the proper denomination.
I have never done it before...
So,it would be the "erase all" in the settings

Meanwhile after a night with mains cut ,it s in full shape again. I erased a few obsolete or useless channels.
Seems to help.

Pleased to hear it.

Comag has been around for many years, I have used a few of their receivers and was impressed until they could not provie the promised firmware upgrades on a box that already had hardware inside.

Do you mean the company is at the end of its receiver production?
Better than anything i v e had before! 12 years with no Pb,using 10 different sats ..lots of favorite lists etc.
Still no need for 4k or hevc, given its rarity within interesting channels...
So, I d be ready to buy the same, new!

Edit,I very slightly tweaked my dish and.... no more shiny blobs and a much better signal on astra 2.
Also much more stable throughout the day. Just BBC4 loses somewhat around midnight,to bounce back 30 minutes later.
