NBC (Net53) on Telstar 15 West... problem

Hi,

I am able to receive 15 West, but have difficulty getting a constant picture from Net 53 (11523 H 7/8 01500).

My SNR is 95% and AGC is 99% with 0 BER........ but the picture freezes up about once every minute. If I switch to another channel and then back to Net53, the picture and sound works fine for another minute.

Is anyone else having this happen to them or could it be my dreambox 7020?

Sounds like you have the A/V settings set at PAL. All the NBC feeds at 15W are transmitted in NTSC format at 30fps.

You need to use Multinorm or NTSC on your DM7020. Multinorm is preferred since the DM7020 will then switch between PAL and NTSC as needed.

BUT: Your TV/Monitor must support NTSC or at least be able to synch at 60Hz.

If only 60Hz synch is supported you can still view it in colours when using SCART set at RGB. CVBS will only give you B/W picture in this case.
