Need prime focus LNB replacement (Costa Blanca)

You might want to try with something like this, doesn't cost much anyway...

thanks, would these be the correct f/D ratio as Miika explained?

Exactly. Or you can buy new one, which matches with your dish. Need to know dish f/D ratio.
Offset LNBs works, if signals are strong, but are not suitable for weak transponders and fine tuning. Offset LNB can "see" only middle part of prime focus dish, therefore collecting about or less than 50% available signals.

Feedhorn must be metal, other materials do not collect signals. If there is plastic addings, these are just for weather protections.
thanks, learning a lot. according to woborny, an offset should be good enough for the area, but I'm getting very poor results

Depends on the make / model / quality of the offset LNB you are using compared to the ones I use.
And assumes that your dish is aligned correctly.

Hola,

Been using an offset LNB on my PF since reading reviews and later buying as per the 'Any lnb test reviews-lately.' thread as this link:-

Any lnb test reviews lately?

perhaps a complete read may assist.

Still using this MEGASAT Twin LNB Diavolo LNB two months later..........continuing superb reception here in Alicante with 1.8M Marrafa PF.......will change back to the Inverto C120 Quad Flange only as it is quad feed.

Sounds more likely as indicated that reason is probably dish alignment.

Whatever, good luck with things. :Y

Here is mine. I lined it foil paper so the comtech inscription is covered.

Trying not to derail the thread but take a picture of the rear, in particular the Az/El mounting points

Are you certain it is 5m and not 4.8m ?

So this is the end of the feedhorn. Will that fit the C120? Also does anyone know the specification for the screws as the existing ones are broken / mangled (or are they supplied with the flange?). Thanks

Flange measures here.
You get the screws with the LNB if you buy new one...

cheers. doesn't show exact distance between holes but looks like it would fit based on overall diameter

This may help with the reflector identification and feed arm bolt-ons.

I have measured and confirmed it to be a 5 meter. Here are the pictures requested. The mounting os not to be the original one from the manufacturer and seem to have issues. I have also found the mounting pole not to be straight, but I don't know if that could account for low signals.

You have all adjustments on the bracketry to correct any alignment issue.
