Hi, reading about the new KA/KU LNB it appears certain transponders are only opening on certain boxes,

Please post your findings here of working/none working boxes satellite position and transponder please.

This is for lnb / box / working / none working frequency reports only please - lets keep the general chat here

New Inverto KaKu lnb

Of particular interest will be the receivers that can resolve the "difficult" frequencies mentioned on the other thread

So we know LC2 is a problem transponder ..
Tested this channel on the F15 and Openpox SX6 both with the Inverto on my 1.5 ...and then 1m dishes..
results are as follows
LC2 will not lock on either box on a 1M atm ..due to low sig strength ...(but has in the recent past on the SX6)(Inverto)
LC2 will lock on the 1.5m using the inverto on the SX6 ...but not the F15 ..
The F15 being slightly higher gain tuner wise than the SX6..
Conclusion..
Even the F15s higher gain will not compensate for the SX6s superior ability to lock LowSR - No pilot signals regardless of lnb .
The SX6 therefore wins out in this case..

Using the PLL ability of the XMW ..increases the chance of locking LC2 using either receiver ...but only tried on the 1.5M .
I therefore recommend the SX6 for use with the Inverto on LSR signals over the F15.
Not very scientific ..but those are my findings.

Tried LC2 on my F15 will not lock even with a signal of 11.4db, (bar turns green for 2secs but no joy) whilst on DB 8000 no problem. Dish 1.5.

My Test,

No lock on the TM8000, 5402M3,Dr HD F15, locks on the 5302 but very blocky, the only receiver I get go0d results is the Amiko Alien 3! All tested on the Fibo Gregorian 1.2.P1010002.webp

.... that combination seems to be working exceptionally well 'maboy :)

Yah, the Inverto seems to like the Greg..

I tried it on virtually the same receivers as Chris(scopus) and got the same results, the A3 was the only one that got close and that had to be manually input. A normal blind scan skipped over it. It's a real shame this receiver does not have user scan step spacing

Like to see how you id attach that lnb to the 120 greg .

Nothing fancy Trust, just some studding and an exhaust bracket from my local tyre and battery depot. Will do a photo tomorrow...tooo windy at the mo

Did he get better results? How is it attached to the Inverto? I could go and have a look, but my German is not that good I'm afraid.
