- I am sorting that out, my gran is coming to live with parents (Midlands), so a Polish TV and for me (South coast)....I may be brave and go motorised.

I bought a bungalow last year (first home) and was up on the roof fixing tiles, when I noticed the aerial was snapped off (still works) but thought, heck, why dont I get a satellite TV. Especially as the other half is making me mount the TV on a wall and I need to drill down through a stud for my connections.
After many days of reading and mostly confusing myself with all the tech speak, I thought I'd join so I can say thanks in person, for those who offer great advice. Might even seek some of my own!

Mine is feeling a bit sad, so I need to recap or get another....mostly to play Simon the Sorcerer.....prices are a bit insane at the moment though!

I'm Larry from Little Rock. I work for Perfect Vision. We were the distributors of the Birdog meters. Shortly after the beginning of the pandemic we were all working from home. During that time our meter expert Richard, retired and when we came back the job was given to me. The funny thing is that I had no satellite experience except that years ago I was a DirecTV customer.
Anyway, I have learned some things along the way even though I have no way to test anything. The company got rid of Richard's satellite farm and I don't have anything at home either.
