Thanks to Capitan Unico for pointing out that the craft is now at ~6.8W. The NSSDC TLE had not been updated at the time of this post.

The level is varying a lot with short and long term components of up to 35dB. 12499 RHC is off at the moment. These plots are from 12498 RHCP (on linear feed):

Nilesat 301 has arrived to 10,5°West and start tests for some transponders in analog PAL standard

This just means testing with unmodulated carriers. Confusing notation, yes.
Ah ok, now I understand.
I don't believe that new Nilesat will broadcast PAL channels?

Some tests this afternoon on 11977V with CW and what looks like noise. It's a bit stronger than expected unless they are running one TP flat out.

All day they focused on the TXP 11976,82 V, emitting both narrow and full-band signals.
