Advice Needed please help me with my special situation

Hi, I am the op here and it is an old thread.
Basically I asked questions on if I could use a ms and Quattro lnb on a Japanese satellite systems.
I finally got a chance to ask a friend to test.
It was a success except that he said on certain channels he saw some scrambles.
He then researched and found out that these channels were on tp 12733.
As the frequency is high he suspects that it is too high for a receiver to handle.
A Japanese receiver operates in the range of 950-2150 mhz.
Given the frequency being 12733, 12733-10600 gives 2133mhz.
He suspects that it is too close to the upper limit of 2150.

My questions to you are if you have some channels on or above the frequency of 12733 and if you have issues with these channels using the Lnb with Lo of 10600.

We normally use 11200 or 11300 lnb on a Japanese satellite.

Hi, welcome!

Short answer: yes.
Splitters must be DC-through, though. So splitter without diodes, or sat-splitter which (usually) has diodes in the right direction.
Receiver must give a diseqc repeat. (I believe most receivers do.)

Hi a33, Thanks for the confirmation.

Regarding the Splitter, this one has DC PASS, so it's reliable, right?

A splitter with DC-through both directions (so with no diodes) would be no problem in this setup.
See for instance the link in this posting: Monoblock advice

For a Unicable/JESS setup, it would be a problem though: Then you really need the diodes. But that is not the case, here.
