I may have expressed myself badly.
I am not asking a question relating to piracy but to the difference between the two systems.
That's why I'm posting it in the "encryption system" section.
It seems to me that it is legal to talk about this here.

Other than CA ID being different, I don't know what else. Certainly older official boxes don't work with PV+, so there must be a whole new protocol.
 
As long as you pay for the subscription, you also receive the official update. Otherwise, the old, outdated FW remains in the official box.

It's certainly more than just an ID story.
I see that only companies with few customers switch to PV+.
I'm not sure that the hardware is the same and that a simple update would be enough.
I can't find any more information on the conditions and new options that this development brings other than against piracy.
