Hi
I been using a sky dish with a octo lnb for years ( using freesat). Over the past few months the signal quality has gone, we have no reception on any of the tv's. Using a Satlink WS-6933 meter I can get 92% strength but no quality. How much affect do the hight of trees make. Also could you recommend anything else. Using the meter I can get locks on other Astra satellites (quality and strength good)1000013210.webp

Trees make a big difference by blocking the signal, the lnb needs line of site to the satellite. you could try raising the dish or trimming the offending tree.

Are you moving the dish around to get the locks on other satellites? What transponder details are you using when looking for 28.2°E as a lot of them on the WS6933 meter will now be incorrect unless you've manually updated them.

The dish is "looking" up at around 24 degrees (Yes, the dish face is near-vertical, but the LNB arm is offset). So if those trees aren't too close, they might not be the problem - but if you go to dishpointer.com you should be able to establish whether or not they are.

It might even be the Lnb or cabč cable conection. Please give more iformation

Move the antena to a higher position.

Nothing wrong with the horizon, house next door looks vaguely familar.

Banana trees in North York Moors? How do they do that?

Try one of the apps on your phone which gives you a visual representation of where the satellite actually is. Could well be one of the taller trees on the east of your image, then astra 23.5 and Astra 19.2 would be higher and to the west of that. A tree doesn't need to be much in the way, by the width of the dish would do it

Cables checked and new lnb fitted with no difference

And may I suggest also answering the questions by @ozumo ?
Without extra (relevant) information, we can only guess what is the matter.

By the way, welcome to the forum!
