As of January 1, Radio 538 is transmitted no longer fta
From the same date stops the radio station Slam FM with its broadcasts via satellite.

That's a shame. I used to be a big fan of Radio 538 back in the 90s when it was on analogue satellite and its predecessor Hit Radio when it was on the back of Sky Channel/Sky One. It's one of the main reasons I've always kept an LNB on 23.5E in recent years just so I could tune in to it every now and then.

Slam fm is on Internet radio as well, I have it in my pioneer vtuner.

I guess Radio 538 went encrypted for financial reasons or because of takeover. I used to listen very frequently at weekends. However I note that they are available online and also there is a phone app which I tried and worked well streaming into the HiFi system. However since they are no longer free to air on satellite I can't be bothered any more..........
