Advice Needed Reboots from standby

I have a humax 4k freesat Box. When I put it in standby mode it continuously restarts and then powers off (as if I unplugged it). It then powers on and the cycle continuous.

It works fine when I actually turn it on and doesn't reboot if I'm using it.

I don't know if there is a software issue. The last update was Nov 24 but the website suggests there should be more updates. I've tried using channel 999 to force an update but no success.

Owned new since July 2024.

Any advice?

You could try a factory reset but you'll lose any recordings and series links. It's a strange one as the usual complaint we get about the Freesat 4K box is it going into standby itself and then taking several minutes to come out of standby into a usable state.

Does the box have good airflow around it? It's not in a cabinet or small alcove, is it?

Hmm slightly cramped space in the TV cabinet, although its an open cabinet - possible temperature issue? I would guess that may be more of a problem when im using it - the problem i have is after we have turned it off / put on standby.

Mine is doing exactly the same after 15 months, standby it powers off, and then reboot cycle on power on, did you fix this issue?

Probably the PSU capacitors going bad..
