Advice Needed Receivers with the lowest Symbol Rate?

Lock a 405 SR frequency on 16e with OS mini 4k TNAP 5.1
It takes about 1min to lock but impossible to get the radio channel
Try typing in Terminal before searching/get channel

You are really at the limit of the receiver, and in addition this transponder is very, very unstable. It's not surprising that it doesn't really work.

AVL6261 has an advantage with IP transponders that Si2166 can't even LOCK.
Si2166 has an advantage with low SR that AVL6261 can't even LOCK.
A compromise between these two is hard to find (maybe M88RS6060).
 
I don't know if I remember correctly, but I think I was able to scan a very low SR with an old Samsung DSR 9500 Vaci receiver. I'll look where this satellite receiver is in my equipment stash and when I can I'll try scanning a little SR below 500. A little nostalgia and the old days of our hobby.
 
If I'm not mistaken, Zgemma H11s uses the generic gfutures driver for that tuner as well (same as H7 uses for Silabs) which is problematic (you can check blindscan that partially works and was never fixed, it does not use a binary).
So, to check if M88RS6060 can actually lock very low SR, we need to check its capabilities on a PCI-E card.
 
I needed some strong low SR test signals to check phase noise on the Bullseye LNB. There is a convenient group of 3 low SR signals on 8W. CS plots follow. Frequencies on plots are a bit off but those in the file names are correct being based on a spectrum analyser. The 143ks one was a struggle even on CS. It needed the frequency to be stepped in 100kHz increments to get a lock. It will be interesting to see if any STB can lock these.

The effect of sub-optimal PN can be seen on the 468k plot, the constellation spots are slightly elliptical.

I don't think a receiver would be able to lock on to each of them.

It's the TBS 6983 card + the IQmonitor program.
 
Better on 42e :

I can lock 11129v SR 400 , see Turkish radios in service list menu but when I search channels, nothing found !

No problem for Octagon SF8008 (Si2166D). Just not getting 12.621 with SR144 (Tendance Ouest), not even with TBS6925.

Well, thinking to professional boxes because if such radio signals are distributed on satellite someone will downlink them presumably using a professional decoder. So it would be interesting to understand which one can reach such low symbol rates.
 
It would be interesting to see how low aTBS6902/6904se can lock, just to know of the Montage tuner's real limit.
