Sky Italia channels disappearing.

HA! sods law, all channels gone - didnt noticed the number showing as tv was off........)(-red
 
Okay brought it back by doing a manual reset of the box (switch off at mains). Least I dont have to constantly update.

We als have a wireless sender attached to the box to send the picture upstairs - Ive a sneaking suspiscion (hope) that thats whats playing havoc and am going to stop using it to see if its related to the problem.
 
I have also noticed that premiership games are now only available with Italian audio...
 
Yup - according to numerous reports the English commentary has been removed in the last couple of weeks. Its pretty obvious why.
 
Ѕky only seem to have a problem with Ѕky Italia, English commentary is still available on Ѕky Germany.

I suppose the issue is that Ѕky Italia show a couple more English Premier League matches each week than Ѕky Germany and is therefore more popular with corrupt pubs in the UK.
 
i no lots of people that have said games where goin off this weekend on sky italia! ive just changed to viasat but have still got sky italia aswell,this weekend i had the everton game on the sky italia and it went off 2 or 3 times this is a prob that i have never had with it b4!!! viasat is the way to go!!

Is it just the specific channels that go or the entire SKY Italia suite?

Im guessing a few posters here have unofficial cards and boxes?

-Im trying to figure out whether Im losing my channels based on a blitz related to EPL watching - Id like to think since Ive got an official card Id be exempt from this.....:mad:

The fact you are in Glasgow makes it as "unofficial" as the other unspecified posters you refer to .................. As with BSkyB, it's not just how you came by it, but how and where you use it.

ive got an official box and card had it most of last season cause it was on an 18m contract! all last season it was fine only playing up last week!ill see how it gos this weekend!but im in look really as ive allso got viasat denmark and get 90% of the games on that anyway im only really usein sky italia till contract runs out!

Point taken.

I was just making a distinction between those who perhaps scan for SKY Italia channels with Humax boxes.

I am fully aware its a grey area either way.

I just expected my setup to be more reliable...

Thanks for the reply dave1979, that confirms thats it not just my box being faulty. Sadly I was hoping SKY Italia would be long term for us. In fairness weve had it run fine for 4years so a good innings anyway.

When you say 'playing up', are you having the same issue as me - SKY channels disappearing completely?

Is it feasible or even possible that SKY Uk could send a signal to blitz SKY Italia cards? :confused:

Just trying to figure out how this is happening...

a few days ago i only had what i would say are there free veiw channels!turning the system of at the wall and setting up again all was fine!when watching the game last week the channel went off! a few mins later came back on,the second time bout 20mins after the first time it did the same but put up a message(but could not read it,not in english!)it then came back on and so far it seems to be working fine!!!like i say ill see how it gos this weekend!plus i'm allso getting the numbers up on the screen when football games are been shown!!O ye and my english commentry seems to have gone!

Thanks again for the reply dave1979.

That sounds exactly like what I have suffered with my SKY Italia system. I havent left the system alone for the channels to return - its an idea to try that next time. In my case I initially brought the channels back via an update but more recently I did like yourself; switching off at the mains. Its frustrating thats for sure but at least we can get the SKY Italia channels back! ... for now

And Yes similarly I was only left with the italian 'freeview' channels - RAI and Mediaset etc. when this wipe occurs.

Seems definitely linked to the football and in both our cases EPL games and similarly the English commentary is no longer an option which hints at their purge.

Thanks for confirming that I am not alone then with this issue!

Likewise mate. I also had it showing the EPL games on Saturday and the number flashed up around 15 times but no channels lost or cut out. Left it on Sky Sport 1 again all day, no issue.
