My reply is based on a similar program used for updating keys in a receiver using emulation software, so the details may differ...
Without this program, when a broadcaster changes keys and you need to update the keys in your receiver, you may need to enter them one by one using your remote controller.
Instead, you can download a file of keys from internet, and then use this program to transfer it to your receiver. You need a crossover RS232 cable.
If you just need to change a small number of keys, you can edit a file that you loaded earlier and then load it to your receiver.
You can also transfer keys from your receiver to a file on your computer if you want for backup purposes.
